Looking to get involved with KLC in the off-season? There’s always something happening around here, and we’d love to have your help keeping this place moving! Whether you’re looking for projects to help with or projects to fund, this is your one-stop-project-spot. Come alone or recruit some friends, family, or your small group! We’ll provide a meal or two as well as all the tools and supplies needed to complete the task at hand (though you’re welcome to bring your own tools as well).
While no fundraising is necessary to claim a project, it is welcomed and encouraged! The project costs are listed and will be updated when funded.

General Cleaning & Maintenance

Staining Turnbull Deck
Volunteers have already completed most of the sanding on the Turnbull Deck. With a bit more sanding, a proper cleaning, and fresh stain, the deck will be protected and ready for continued camp use.

Campfire Refresh
Campfire is one of the best times for campers to connect with God by hearing bible stories, singing songs, and hearing about God's work in their leaders lives. Countless hours have been spent around the fire, and our benches are in need of an upgrade! Work includes removing old in-ground benches, building and replacing existing benches, and building a multi-use table.

Info Board
This future install will be an easily accessible information centre with helpful maps, schedules, and camp information to help renters and camper families navigate our beautiful piece of land. Work includes building and assembling the outdoor info board according to plans provided.

Currently, the camp entrance consists of two posts with a rope serving as a temporary gate. We are seeking to upgrade this to a permanent, well-constructed gate that provides a clear sense of arrival.

Water Pump Staircase
Reliable access to our water sprinkler pump is essential for camp operations and safety. Currently, the steep and slippery path poses a risk to staff. Building a staircase will greatly improve safety and ensure consistent access for maintenance.

Highway Sign Update
(Fundraising item only)
When KBK became KLC in 2012, one thing that was out of reach (and still is) was to update was the highway signage leading newcomers to camp. As the camp grows and new families join us, accurate signage is imperative to ensure everyone reaches us safely.
