From June 16th to August 11th, 2019. (Start date is flexible for the right applicant.)

There are two 3 week programs plus up to two weeks of preparation. Preference will be given to those who can commit to both programs.


$400-$500(depending on experience and qualifications) / week plus room and board for a full week (Sunday to Friday).

Organizational Structure

The LIT Director is part of the CORE team and works alongside the Program Director and reports to the Executive Director Team.

Responsibilities and Expectations

  • Responsible for planning organized, creative schedules that should include sessions that grow students in their relationship with God, that improve their leadership skills and give them opportunities to serve at camp.

  • Must be a spiritual leader to the students in the program and facilitate creative and mission oriented devotional times.

  • Responsible for preparation of L.I.T. teaching sessions.

  • Planning an "event or outing" with the assistance of the ED Team.

  • Assist in hiring of the LIT Assistant Director(s) and LIT mentors.

  • Responsible for teaching L.I.T. program participants how to complete regular cleaning tasks.

  • Check each skill during the week to ensure skills are being led in a safe, creative way.

  • Build mentoring relationships with students in the program.

  • Work with other CORE staff members to place students into appropriate roles for the third week of their program.

  • Responsible for the evaluation of students at the end of each program.

  • Have one on one 'check-in' conversations with each student at least once a week.

  • Complete a LIT Director report at the end of the program.Other duties as required.

Preferred Qualifications and Assets

  • Exhibit spiritual maturity and be a good Christian role model.

  • Have a heart for evangelism and missions.

  • Ability/knowledge of camp activities (canoeing, archery, wall climbing, etc.)

  • Enjoy being outdoors in all types of weather.

  • Able to work in a team environment and independently.

  • Be at least 21 years of age.

  • Familiarity with social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.)

  • *Pleasure Craft Operator License an asset.

  • *Class 5 drivers license an asset.

  • *First Aid and CPR an asset.
