From June 16th to August 11th, 2019. (start date is flexible for the right applicant.)
$400-$500(depending on experience and qualifications) / week plus room and board for a full week (Sunday to Friday).
The Program Director reports directly to the Executive Director Team.
Responsibilities and Expectations
Responsible for planning organized, creative schedules for each age group of camp throughout the summer.
Responsible for introducing and/or leading all camp-wide activities (i.e. games, firesides, chapels, meals, free time, etc.)
Responsible for keeping camp on schedule.
Recruit staff members to assist in games, firesides, special programming.
Training and coaching of staff on program implementation and skills.
Work closely with the Executive Director Team and other CORE staff to ensure the safety of staff and guests is maintained.
Enforce all rules and safety measures.
Respond and adapt programming to changes in weather.
Organize and coordinate weekly program schedules.
To serve willingly in all areas of camp ministry.
Preferred Qualifications and Assets
Preferred candidates will have had at least one year of program experience.
Knowledgeable in the variety of camp activities (including but not limited to canoeing, archery, wall climbing, tuck, wide games, etc.)
Exhibit spiritual maturity and be a good Christian role model.
Have a heart for evangelism and missions.
Ability to speak confidently in front of large groups of people.
Willingness to be outdoors in all types of weather.
Able to work in a team environment and independently.
Be at least 21 years of age
*Pleasure Craft Operator License an asset.
*Class 5 drivers license an asset.
*First Aid and CPR an asset.
