From June 16th to August 11th, 2019. (Start date is flexible for the right applicant.)

There are two 3 week programs plus up to two weeks of preparation. Preference will be given to those who can commit to both programs.


$350-$450(depending on experience and qualifications) / week plus room and board for a full week (Sunday to Friday).

Organizational Structure

The LIT Assistant Director is part of the CORE team and reports to the LIT Director and the Executive Director Team.

Responsibilities and Expectations

  • Must be a spiritual leader to the students in the program and facilitate creative and mission oriented devotional times.

  • Responsible for assisting in L.I.T. teaching sessions.

  • Responsible for teaching L.I.T. program participants how to complete regular cleaning tasks.

  • Check each skill during the week to ensure skills are being led in a safe, creative way.

  • Build mentoring relationships with students in the program.

  • Work with other CORE staff members to place students into appropriate roles for the third week of their program.

  • Responsible for the evaluation of students at the end of each program.

  • Have one on one 'check-in' conversations with each student at least once a week.

  • Other duties as required.

Preferred Qualifications and Assets

  • Exhibit spiritual maturity and be a good Christian role model.

  • Have a heart for evangelism and missions.

  • Ability/knowledge of camp activities (canoeing, archery, wall climbing, etc.)

  • Enjoy being outdoors in all types of weather.

  • Able to work in a team environment and independently.

  • Familiarity with social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.)

  • Be at least 19 years of age.

  • *Pleasure Craft Operator License an asset.

  • *Class 5 drivers license an asset.

  • *First Aid and CPR an asset.
